The terms that apply when you use makemylappy.net or book a repair, CCTV or related service with Make My Lappy.
These Terms of Service govern your use of makemylappy.net and the services provided by Make My Lappy. By booking a service, you agree to these terms.
Quotes and pricing
We provide a quote after diagnosing a device or surveying a CCTV site. Prices quoted are based on the fault or requirement identified; if additional faults are found during the work, we will inform you and seek your approval before proceeding.
Diagnosis and approval
You authorise us to inspect your device or premises to diagnose the issue. We will not carry out chargeable repairs without your approval of the quote.
Visiting & inspection charges
Diagnosis of devices brought to our store is free. A ₹500 visit charge applies for laptop-repair and on-site visits (such as a CCTV site survey or a doorstep repair). If you go ahead with the repair or installation and a bill is generated, the ₹500 is adjusted into your bill. If you choose not to proceed, the ₹500 visit charge is payable.
Your device is safe — ₹10,000 guarantee
We treat your device as our own. If any mishap causes damage to or loss of your device while it is in our care, Make My Lappy will bear the loss up to a maximum of ₹10,000. This covers loss or damage caused by us and does not cover pre-existing faults or issues unrelated to our handling.
Parts and warranty
We use original and OEM-grade parts. Repairs and installations carry a service warranty, the period of which is stated in your quote or invoice. Warranty covers the specific part or work carried out and does not cover new, unrelated faults, physical or liquid damage, or tampering by others.
Data backup
Data backup is the customer's responsibility. Make My Lappy is not responsible for backing up your data or for any data loss that may occur during service. Please back up your data before handing over your device. This does not apply to our dedicated data-recovery service, which has its own terms.
Devices left after service
Please collect your device promptly after we notify you it is ready. Devices left for an extended period after notification may incur storage charges.
CCTV and lawful use
CCTV must be used lawfully and only on premises you own or control. You are responsible for complying with applicable laws on surveillance and privacy. We install hidden cameras only for lawful security purposes.
Liability
Our liability for any service is limited to the amount paid for that service. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
