How to Transfer Data to a New Phone (Easy Guide)

Buying a new phone is exciting, but moving everything across from your old one can feel like a chore. Here is a simple, safe way to do it without losing anything important.

First, decide what you need to move

Before you start, make a quick list of what really matters. Most people want to carry over the same few things:

• Contacts and call logs
• Photos and videos (usually the biggest item)
• WhatsApp chats and other messages
• Apps and their logins
• Documents, downloads and saved files

Android to Android

The easiest route is Google. On your old phone, go to Settings > Google > Backup and run a full backup. When you set up the new phone, sign in with the same Google account and choose to restore. iPhone to iPhone

Always keep a backup
