Phone Charging Slowly? Reasons and Fixes

A phone that takes forever to charge is a daily frustration. The good news is that slow charging usually comes down to a handful of causes you can check yourself.

Start with the cable and adapter

The charging accessories are the most common culprits. Worn cables and weak adapters quietly slow everything down:

• Try a different cable, as internal wires break even when the outside looks fine.

Clean the charging port

Pockets and bags fill the charging port with lint and dust, which stops the cable from seating fully. This is one of the most overlooked causes of slow or intermittent charging.

Check battery health and background apps
